Cailey obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania and her master’s degree in counseling at William & Mary. Cailey began pursuing a specialty in substance use disorders during graduate training, and she started a group for incarcerated women as an intern.
Cailey has extensive clinical experience, from outpatient to residential treatment settings, with clients at all levels of severity. She spent the first ten years of her career working in dual diagnosis treatment settings, including her role as the Program Director of a women's substance use disorders program. During this time, she became passionate about the integrated treatment of the many mental health conditions which co-occur with substance use disorders. She has sought out extensive training in the effective care of these common co-occurring conditions to better meet the needs of the clients she serves. Cailey has worked on an outpatient basis in private practice settings since 2016, seeing clients with a range of mental health challenges related to trauma, emotion dysregulation, and difficulties controlling behavior.
